A well marked but boggy path leads you on a steep ascent that eventually skirts along the side of a large burn dotted with stunning pools of fresh highland water. Quiet almost all year round, the summer weekend often attracts a few hikers that tend to fill the nearer parking.

For the quietest time visit mid week around sunrise or dusk when the hikers are on or off the hill.
