Hugging the edge of the mainland this quiet spot faces onto the clear blue of the Atlantic from the west coast of Scotland. Boasting a short walk from the car this viewpoint can be a busy area but the crowds are easily escaped by traversing the gnarly sheep trails that so often lead to the most beautiful spots in Scotland.
My day here was spent exploring the rock pools and soft grassy upper lands at low tide and then settling down with a small fire, picnic and fishing rod in hand at high tide. Buttered mackerel on an open fire while the sunsets on a clear night is the flavour of this location.

Difficulty: Easy / Medium - The view point itself is easily reached from the car park but traversing round the coast can be a bit bumpy.
